Trips & Visits
Service Learning Mission Trips are an important part of our model.
You can help Nuevos Amigos meet its specific annual objectives through your service. Missionaries and group leaders work together to ensure that team activities are designed to support the work of the school staff and local church partner.
We welcome teams throughout the year who are interested in a short-term service learning opportunity to build long-term relationships with the children and staff, as well as meet specific ministry objectives. Our prayer for teams, is that participants come to a new and deeper understanding of who God is and how He calls His followers to live in the world. We are committed to seeing lives transformed as they meet new cultures, experience God, and learn to receive and give as all nations worship together.
Most trips are open to anyone interested in serving. Families are welcome. Children should be over 16 and must be accompanied by a parent.
Accommodations: Most commonly teams are housed at our partner ministry, Extreme Response (ER). ER housing provides teams with a full kitchen, dining and community space, access to laundry machines, and shared bed and bathrooms. There are hot showers.
Cost: $2000. Includes housing, transportation, and food. Teams provide building materials or service project costs. Incidental fees to consider are: passport fees, luggage fees, immunizations, short-term mission insurance (suggested), personal shopping (souvenirs), and snacks.
